Legendary UCLA basketball coach John Wooden once said “I’d rather have a lot of talent and little experience, than a lot of experience and little talent.” I have both. My talent accounts for two decades of real estate success, and two decades of real estate experience makes me what you want in an agent. I know my way around a few things.
Before my real estate career, I’d had 30 years in building construction, indoor air quality research and implementation, and building investigation. I was also a Kansas Supreme Court-approved mediator and trained negotiator. This combination of knowkedge and experience makes me unique in the Lawrence real estate market and highly valuable to my clients.
The key to a successful real estate transaction is asking the right questions and getting the right answers. It’s my job to make sure buyers and sellers make informed choices. For example, when a buyer looks at an unfinished basement they may see storage space or another living area or maybe another bedroom in the future. I see how the house was built. Another example, making sure sellers understand the real cost of a house staying on the market too long.
I also like to cook, eat other peoples cooking, navigate Clinton Lake, great conversation and read a good book.
